Police say the man, who was arrested Thursday, is the same one who allegedly hid asbestos under the carpet in the city’s east end last year.
A spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service says the suspect has been charged with five counts of hiding and concealing asbestos under a carpet, four counts of concealing a hazardous material and one count of obstructing the administration of justice.
Toronto police spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia said in a news release that the suspect was arrested on May 11, 2017, in connection with a June 19, 2017 complaint in which a woman reported a man was hiding asbestos underneath her carpet in her home.
Ciaccia did not provide further details.
A Toronto man has been arrested in connection to a June 6, 2017 complaints against him about asbestos under floor tiles.
